Burger Bros Adventure!!!

 Burger Bros Adventure!

In the midst of this pandemic, many eateries are facing a substantial loss in their revenue as dining out is prohibited while delivery & takeouts are becoming the new norm. This forces many to resort to using delivery services such as Food Panda, Grabfood & Deliveroo etc. however delivery services may be too costly for some business owners such as small hawker eateries & small start-ups. Thus with this post, I encourage all to support small business owners & hawker stalls by buying food from them and supporting their livelihoods.

Ever since this Phase 2 (Heightened Alert) started, there has been an increase in burger items in menus all around Singapore; from small start-ups to casual eateries to even high-end restaurants in hotels. The reason for this is that burgers are one of the easiest items for take-outs and deliveries. They don't require extensive packaging and additional utensils, thus being a very portable meal.

Burger Bros is started by two guys that just wanted to step into the culinary scene. They currently have five different burgers on their menu: 'BBQ Classic' (Beef Patty, Caramelized Onions & BBQ Sauce), 'Cheezus Christ!' (Beef Patty, Bacon, Lettuce & Cheese Fondue), 'The Ladyboy' (Pork Patty, Sauteed Button Mushrooms & Nam Jim Sauce), 'Three Little Pigs' (Char Siew-Pork Belly, Romaine Lettuce & Char Siew Sauce) & last but certainly not least is 'Seoul Mates?' (Buttermilk Chicken, Traditional Slaw & Gochujang Sauce).

Burger Bros use brioche buns for their burgers buns & they absorbed the sauces well without getting soggy. Nobody likes a dry burger or a burger that's drenched right? Thus I think that Burger Bros got their ratio of buns, meat & sauce on point!

Owners description of 'The Ladyboy' is that it is a Thai inspired flavoured burger and that it mixed really well with the brown button mushrooms and it is highly recommended for garlic lovers! The Three Little Pigs is a fusion between a traditional Chinese dish & a western-styled burger!

I ordered three servings each of the 'Three Little Pigs' & 'Seoul Mates?' to try as I really love Char Siew & Buttermilk chicken.

The 'Three Little Pigs' is a burger with a big chunk of fatty pork belly as the main attraction and it is glazed with glistering char siew sauce. I personally found that the quality of the pork is really high and it reminded me of those Korean barbeque type of pork bellies. I advised those who prefer a leaner cut of pork (like myself) to also try this burger as it is really very tasty.
The 'Seoul Mates' main star of the show is the buttermilk battered chicken patty. It is complemented by a generous amount of gochujang sauce. Although I am not a huge fan of gochujang sauce, I really enjoyed this burger and found that the gochujang has a taste that really makes it suit the buttermilk chicken patty. Do note that it may be a lil spicy for some who has a low spice tolerance!
The only downside to Burger Bros is that their burgers are more like Sliders rather than burgers. I personally do not mind it as I am a small eater myself and focus on quality rather than quantity but bigger eaters may find themself still hungry after having a burger or two.
