A tranquil dining area? Delicious food? Then Grub @ Ang mo kio - bishan park looks like the place for you!

Located near the middle of this huge park, this Café serves casual, family-friendly hearty foods. Mainly japanese-western fusions like Sakura Ebi Pasta , Shimeiji Risotto etc. They serve Burgers, Pizzas and others like grilled chicken leg too!

However to get to the park is quite a hassle (no wonder people own a car in Singapore) but there is a bus stop nearest to the park's carpark. After the carpark, you'll cross a bridge and be greeted to the peaceful scenery of the park! Families taking strolls, dogs being walk amongst the lush greenery. It's just a great place to being your family for some fresh air on the weekends!

Cafés usually serve the basic cheese fries and the mainstream truffle fries but Grub has their Mentaiko fries (Shoestring fries drizzled with mentaiko sauce and topped with nori seaweed) If you don't know what Mentaiko is, it's marinated roe of pollock and cod with mayonnaise and butter! If you were wondering what mentaiko tastes like, it’s salty and savoury at the same time.

I went there with my family and we ordered the Sakura Ebi Pasta, Fish & Chips, their Beef Burger, Smoked salmon with toast and of course their Mentaiko fries!

The stand out dishes was not the mainstream dishes but their signature Sakura Ebi Pasta and their Mentaiko fries! It is a must buy when dining at Grub! The burger and the fish & Chips are very average.

So if you're looking for a peaceful dining setting and fusion japanese-western food,  then Grub is the place for you!
